The Bayside Florist Story

Bayside Florist is owned by Lia Smith and Chris Seymour and located in Wynnum, QLD. Lia has many years of experience in arranging flowers both in Australia and her native home of South Africa. Bayside Florist had started a Joomla website many years before that had never quite made it live. They needed a website for their business so they could trade online but just didn’t know the best way to approach it – to continue to build on what they had, or start again?

Our website solution

As Bayside Florist is a shop and their main reason for a website is to sell online, we have decided to opt for an ecommerce solution, rather than a CMS that has an ecommerce add-on. We have selected Prestashop and created a design that complements the colours of the logo and has a modern look. The business owners have put in a huge amount of effort to get images, descriptions, variations and prices for all the products. We have worked together on the many considerations of running an online shop – delivery areas, shipping costs, payment options, terms and conditions. Prestashop has great features incorporated that will automate the business processes e.g. invoicing, delivery slips, order amendments, order cancellations and refunds.
