BSDF

The BSDF Story

BSDF is a not for profit organisation in the Bayside area of Queensland that aims to bring the community together to create a better bayside. BSDF had an existing WordPress website that had not been updated for some time and they were in the process of revitalising the group. To go along with the revitalised group, BSDF wanted a revitalised website. The website needed a blog to keep the local community up to date with their news, it also needed the ability for PDF downloads to enable new members to print and complete the membership form to be submitted to BSDF for consideration. There group also had some great plans for the revitalisation including a Photo Competition and required the ability to advertise the Photo Competition as well as accept entries online. They also required a Community Directory to add details of local community groups and businesses.

Our Website Solution

Working with a photographer in the local community, we got some great images to incorporate into a new design. We designed and developed a new WordPress theme for BSDF using the images and colours from the logo. We added a blog to post news articles and we added the membership form as a PDF download to allow new members to apply to join the group. We also added details of the committee members, past projects and contact details. We worked with local council to obtain details of local community groups and added these to a Community Directory that we implemented on the website. The website was hosted elsewhere and we moved the website over to our hosting when it expired.
